Talking to my boss about the new CT6 Plug In cause we sell Cadillacs and how the car better be just as good as a Tesla Model S cause that will be its rival. I mean at least it will look better.

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

I mean, the Tesla isn’t ugly, but it has nothing going for it. It’s plain and verging on boring if it had a gas motor I believe it’d be a flop. The Cadillac is gorgeous on the other hand. Especially from the rear.

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

Huh.... looks a lot like

Kinja'd!!!

I think I’d rather have a Panamera than the Model S, but the CT6 over the other two

Having driven both, I can safely say that the Tesla is in another league in terms of ability and tech, but I’d rather have the CT6. It’s just cooler.

See I think the only time Cadillac did better is until the ‘60s though. Kind of garbage ever since early 70s.

Current/previous gen Cadillacs have the uncanny ability to look gorgeous in pictures, but look way out of proportions in the flesh. It is thus that my favourite GM brand remains Opel/Buick...and well Saturn if they still existed.

Weird, I love the Cadillacs in person. Walking by them everyday I can’t help but lust after them. Especially the ATS. I think they are some of the best* styling to come out of GM since the Pontiac/Holden vehicles stopped.

I think it’s a trim level thing, small “base” wheels can really throw the look off as can various other base trim pieces.

I loved the 2nd gen CTS-V but the base CTS was goofy looking, especially because the base grille.

Okay I agree on that. The GMT900 and newer are nice but I don’t want to give Cadillac credit for it because it’s just a dressed up GMC/Chevy. Also as a personal SUV I’d rather have a Land Cruiser/LX570/Range Rover/Luxury Truck. I will admit the Escalade is my favorite vehicle to see pull up when I call an UBER though.

It’s always bothered me that they clearly design cars with a certain size wheel in mind then downgrade for base models, which are what they sell the most of.

I don’t think the CT6 looks better at all. In fact I don’t think any of the art & science designed Caddys look good, although I do recognize that it is an unpopular opinion and at the same time freely admit they look better than the prior design language.

I don’t get how the rear ones look smaller than the fronts. Is that picture photoshopped? Something has to be very wrong with the design to create that illusion. Looks terrible!

My problem with the CT6 is that it seems the design team took an outline of a Merceds and an outline of and old Cadillac and went to town with a blending pencil. They have made it dull. Also, I would take a Panamera any day over the other two.

Tesla fanboys be rabid.

In all seriousness, as of late, I’ve kind of realized that Tesla’s design language isn’t all that people claim it is. It’s starting to become...boring. Especially on the Model 3 and the Model X. Am I the only one that thing the fake piano black grille actually helped the look? I saw a facelifted Model S recently (the one without the grille) and...yeah...it’s terrible.

Cadillac hit the CT6 out of the mofuckin’ park in terms of design and class. It looks straight up opulent at a standstill, and cruises down streets with a sense of presence that I’ve only ever gotten before with old Jaguar XJs. You know, that feeling that when it’s coming the opposite direction, you feel like you have to dip off the road and pay respects? That’s my identifier of a good luxury car, and Cadillac has had that since the CTS.

The Panamera on the other hand is also gorgeous, and I wouldn’t mind having one. It’d be a toss-up, the CT6 is better value for money, but the Panamera is a Panamera.

I think from a design standpoint you can do much better than the current XF, it may not be as beautiful as a Rapide, but it’s ridiculous handsome in a BMW E38 way.

Also from a side view the new Panamera looks ungainly and fat, I would wait for the wagon version to fix that look

Other than the length of the seat bottom, I found them quite comfortable. On long drives my lower thighs, right above my knees, would get fatigued.

That is a very pretty car.

I like the designs for the cars, but the SRX(or whatever the new one is) is still terrible and the Escalade will always look like a fancy Yukon which is meh.
